Camas waited for Newburg, Oregon to be proactive and then we merely adopted the program - and we only did that when a Washougal resident stopped Shannon Roberts on the street and asked her to do the same in Camas.
It's not even that we were out searching for other municipalities who were successful. It literally needs to be hand delivered and wrapped with a bow - and then we take credit for it?
Cathy was boasting about receiving praise from "as far as Alaska" and Ridgefield in last night's meeting, while never mentioning that this wasn't our program? I wonder if Camas even needed to wait until Newburg announced that they would extend their original program to the end of May before considering doing the same here in Camas?
Where are the Camas owned and originated programs that shows this group isn't just putting out the minimum effort to look like they are doing something? Where are the creative solutions to help real people stay in their homes and get through this moment? Even the Tshirt effort they spoke of last night was through the DCA. Literally the only thing they are supposed to discuss is COVID relief and response - you think they'd have a single good, original idea designed for Camas that might come out of that?
