Thanks to a WATCH Camas member for dropping this timely news tip.
Yesterday, May 11th was the opening day of a short filing window for candidates that ends on Friday, May 15th.
It seems there are no city or port positions currently, but there are county and state positions, including 15 charter review commissioner positions - Camas residents will qualify to fill some of those seats to review the city charter.
If you're upset about things like Toxic Algae-related closures of our lakes, the county property tax assessor's office and parks opening/closing during a pandemic, you could get into one of these seats and help recommend big changes at the county level to correct any systematic wrongs you think need to be righted.
Public service is not difficult if you have some time. Most of these are part time commitments, for example, some Camas Commissions only meet once per year. If you have read a contract or bought a home, you can probably read through a city charter without issue and give your opinion as a citizen on what makes sense and what clearly doesn't.
An excerpt from the Election Department's news release:

Candidates are strongly encouraged to file their declaration online.
